New colours from the Design Kitchen!

This new collection is very personal to me, it is a re-incarnation of the things I love the most in the form of yarns. I spent a lot of time coming up with the colourways, and I hope that it appeals to my customers as much as they appeal to me!

For now, I have only dyed Classic Cashmere yarns in this collection, but in a few weeks it will be available in Heavenly Infusion as well.

I took my time writing up descriptions for each of the colourways, something I was too lazy/excited/distracted to do with the previous collection. I will eventually get around to doing it for the other collection (Rustic Tranquility), but for now I present to you, My Favorite Things:

Lipstick

Lipstick is a beautifully balanced, true red from the My Favorite Things Collection. Great for all skin tones, this is a real feel-good colourway! In my world, this colour represents love, joy, serenity, life, and of course, the hue of my favorite shade of lipstick!

Sister Sister

Sister Sister is a colourway from the My Favorite Things Collection; rich jewel tones of deep crimsons and resonant purples, connoting a sense of sensuality, refinement, and a dash of urban glamour . As the eldest of four sisters, this colourway best describes the air of excitement and creativity that often surrounds my siblings, and the happiness and closeness I feel when I'm around them!

Sultry Sun

Sultry Sun is a warm, subdued spicy yellow with golden peach overtones from the My Favorite Things Collection. The colourway evokes images of hot summer afternoons in the sunshine. A moody, and richly atmospheric set of hues.

Elusive

Elusive is a strong, yet quite understated colourway from the My Favorite Things Collection. It is a grounding colour, one that coordinates well with all the colours in the collection, and best reflects the general mood surrounding my personality.  Neither black nor brown, with touches of blue-grey and dusty brass, it sets a mysterious, tranquil mood, with more life than any 'nameable' colour I know!

Teacup

Teacup is an greyed-down beige colourway from the My Favorite Things Collection. It represents the shade of my favorite tea-cup, creamy desserts, and a classic, clean anchor shade that works great when paired with any other colour. An eminently wearable hue for all genders and age groups, that is both edgy and polished.

Marble

Marble is one of the colours from the My Favorite Things Collection. It bridges the gap between grey and beige, with dashes of dusty lime scattered throughout. As a child I delighted in putting on thick socks and sprinting across the floor at my parent's house, just to stop suddenly and slide across the smooth marble; a dangerous but ever so exciting act that made me feel like a super-hero. A cool, timeless neutral, meant to convey the dark romantic setting of the house I grew up in.

Tropical Twilight

Tropical Twilight is a deep, earthy shade of honey maple pink from the My Favorite Things Collection. I don't particularly like it when the sun goes down, but my eyes are always drawn to the splash of striking warm tones that spread across the sky. This versatile hue is rich and spicy; feminine yet flamboyant.

Irma

Irma is a sophisticated, subdued pink rose colourway from the My Favorite Things Collection. Irma is also the name of my mother, who is my inspiration for this colour. This colourway captures the softness of pink, and the lively vibrancy of fuschia; illustrating nurturing and feminine tones.

Fresh

Fresh is a rich yellow-green with honey undertones, a colourway in the My Favorite Things Collection. The colour of nature at the beginning of spring, the flesh of a lime, the colour of my household cleaning paraphernalia (No, this is not a typo, I REALLY enjoy cleaning); this colourway brings forth a sense of renewal and optimism for creations that breathe ease and clean designs. This intriguing, tangy hue co-ordinates well with wardrobe staples, and makes all other colours come alive.

Midnight Tide

Midnight Tide is a mysterious smoky blue colourway from the My Favorite Things Collection. A deep, mysterious teal, with a vibrancy that traditional navy lacks, epitomizing the colour and calm energy of the beach at night. It brings an smokey, exotic flair to the collection, and pairs up well with any of the other colours.

This collection boasts diverse colours with subtle contrasts, a painting of the colours of my life.

Thank you for looking!
